Yes, I was just discovering that. Is there a way to get / convert a
QTTime to a float value. Or how do I get a float value (currentTime,
duration) directly from a QTMovie?

No, that will not work. QTTime is NOT a float, it is a QTTime
struct, which is why it's a NSValue rather than an NSNumber.

Hi, Rich. NSValue has no direct conversion method (well, not at a
high level), but NSNumber inherits directly from NSValue. Thus if
you replace NSValue with NSNumber in your second and third lines
of code, you will be then able to say [durationValue floatValue]
or [currentValue floatValue].
I don't know much about QuickTime controls, so if something else
is wrong with this method I might not have caught it.

I am trying to use the ProgressView / Cell class from the
developer sample code to create a progress bar for a QTMovie.
I want to get the status of the movie as a percent from
currentTime / Duration but do not understand QTTime. Code:
NSDictionary *myAtts = [theMovie movieAttributes];
NSValue *durationValue = [myAtts objectForKey:
QTMovieDurationAttribute];
NSValue *currentValue = [myAtts objectForKey:
QTMovieCurrentTimeAttribute];
How do I get a float value from an NSValue?
Thanks, Rich
