Value snapping and NSSlider

>From reading the docs, it would seem that there are no existing hooks to
allow one to make a slider 'snap' to particular values as the user moves
the knob nearby. Is there some other hack to accomplish this without
having to subclass NSSliderCell (which seems to be the route to go)?

Note: Tickmarks are not quite what I want since I don't want visible tickmarks
and you either don't get snapping behaviour or the knob is only allowed
to be on tickmarks, both of which I don't really want.
