I think it bears mentioning, that subclassing NSWindow, and writing
our own main() routine are things that we wouldn't often do when
using the Cocoa framework.
It also bears mentioning that modifying window-closing behaviour is
the one of the canonical examples of the role of delegation -- see
<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/
CommunicateWithObjects/Articles/Delegates.html>. It is typically not
the responsibility of the window to manage the state information that
determines whether or not it should close.
