This is what I get when I build and run...

Command / USR/bin/gcc-4.0 failed with exit code 1
Can't open: /Users/collanderson/ C. A. Sound for -sectcreate __TEXT __zerolink (No such file or directory, errno =2)


I can't figure it out as it is an empty project or at least the most minimal project I can think of...

This looks like it could be a quoting problem; perhaps Xcode is misquoting your pathnames when passing them to gcc. You should try asking on the Xcode-users list.
