AAC (.m4a) opening with Cocoa?

Hi

Does anyone know HOW to load/open a AAC (.m4a) file either into a NSDATA structure or some-such is it easier to open it as a binary stream and then parse the data into its constituent parts? (the parts would be the data and separate tracks if any)

After much looking through the quicktime documentation and cocoa Docs as well I cant seem to find any way other than opening the file as a stream. I would like to make a small player for podcasts and so need to find the chapter info as well. I mean seeing as iTunes can open, reference and play these files, how do I do it?

Any pointers in the right direction would be REALLY appreciated.

Thanks

Kieren
