Did you have a look at iWeb's applescript dictionary ? You may find
commands to remote control iWeb from your application.

Good call! There's even a SendToiWeb.scpt file in iPhoto's Resources folder. It applies to photo blogs, rather than text entries, but I should be able to figure it out. Thanks for the tip.
