Look at NSTimeZone The class also permits you to set the default
time zone within your application (setDefaultTimeZone:). Looks like
what you want
I'm not the only developer on this project, I can't change the default
time zone.
I think I'll just go with the addTimeInterval: followed by setTimeZone solution.
