connecting open-print-save-quit... to methods

Hi,
	I'm writing a single window application.

I need to connect the standard items of the "File"'s menu to appropriate methods.

Should I conncect them directly to IBActions in my controller class or should I implement NSApplication's delegates such as application:openFile, application:printFile, applicationShouldTerminate....? I dont see a delegate for save...

Also, I suppose I have to enable-disable those menu items programmatically at approriate times. Do I connect them to outlets in my controller class and enable/disable them directly?
