NSWindow, Drag and Drop, Focus Ring

My entire window is the target for a drop. I added all the appropriate functions to my NSWindow subclass and the drag operations are working well.

Using draggingEntered, draggingExited, concludeDragOperation, what's the best way to draw a focus ring just inside the edge of my window (content area)?

I've tried a number of techniques, but nothing seems to be working reliably.
