Is that what your users really want? Make sure it is before doing it.
I agree; emulating the Windows version as closely as possible is not
the best way to design a Mac app. It leads to apps which feel wrong.
(Try looking up Word 6 for Mac OS sometime. It took this approach and
was universally reviled.)
