Of course they're not possible with Finder alone - it's just a GUI file manager app. It doesn't do the low-level stuff for itself, the filesystem drivers to do that.


But VFS's *are* possible using other methods. Although, the VFS kext API has apparently been in flux and poorly documented for quite some time now.
