iPhoto seems to use some variant of NSToolbar and places it at the bottom of their main view. Depending on which "mode" iPhoto is in (browsing/editing/slideshow creation, etc) it displays a different toolbar in this position. So I guess my question is twofold:

1) How do you position a toolbar so that it is not at the top of the window
2) Can I have multiple NSToolbars (ideally I would like to have the standard toolbar at the top of my window while also using the toolbar display functionality to display a toolbar-like toolbar at the bottom of my main display.

These aren't NSToolbars. NSToolbars are used specifically for the typical top-of-the-window toolbar. iPhoto's views are custom, and they're not that difficult to write, especially since they're not customizable.
