IMHO you should not do it this way. It's just not what users will
expect. Especially automatic saving invoked by closing the document.
What's so wrong with a sheet, asking the user if he/she wants to
save? That's standard Mac behaviour.
So, if I understand correctly, the user starts the program, a new
windows appears with the results of your calculation (filename should
be set already). Then, when the users quits or closes the window, the
results should be saved automatically. If the user does that more
than once, the file will be overwritten each time?
Or do you want to rename the file? (results-1, results-2, ...,
results-n)?
Again: why not implementing the normal behaviour users are used to?
Or am I missing something?
