Seconding this one. Don't play with how drawers feel. Users are
already kinda twitchy around them--no reason to give them more reason
to hate you. :-)

I humbly offer that it's not in your best interest to change basic
behavior of a standard control. I've found it can make people feel
pretty disoriented. If you want to something to work in a new way,
I say you're better off making something new. Maybe a palette of
some sort?
Just a thought.
