MySQL cocoa help!

In need of a developer who can use the MySQL cocoa framework (or any public license API) in an AppleScript Studio environment to access a MySQL database. Final product is a client application that can create a new record in mySQL and return the value of the auto_increment field. I already have a MySQL DB set up and ready to connect to.

I apologize for this post but frustration levels have reached red- line. I believe Apple should have created a well documented API for mySQL connectivity with OBJC but they have not. The instructions for loading the MySQL-Cocoa sourceforge framework created by Dave Winters references a 'SmySQL_bundled.framework' folder, but no such folder exists in the disk image. Example files on http://mysql- cocoa.sourceforge.net/ for use of the framework have long been broken. All emails to parties involved in this project are unanswered.

No knowledge of AppleScript needed. If the value can be returned into an NSLog, I can take it from there. Eventually, I'll push data into the DB but not required at this early stage. Given my newbie status in OBJC, I'm sure I'll need a bit of support to implement this task. Let's talk compensation and I'll share more details. If you are shocked that anyone would ask such a simple question and is willing to pay money for an answer, you're probably the right person for the task! ;-)
