How can I download and upload via https?

I tried searching the lists, but Apple's search engine repeatedly didn't connect me.

I tried searching cocoadev.com, no answers there, except use CURLHandler. The problem with CURLHandler is that it has no examples so I can't tell if it can upload and download with https users and passwords!

Do you need https to download/upload with users and passwords? or can you do it with http? Just wondering if my question is correct even.

Anyhow, I tried seraching on google for "https cocoa" and didn't get any good answers.

Any answers anyone?
