Creating a 30fps QTTime structure?

  • Subject: Creating a 30fps QTTime structure?

Hello everyone,

I'm working with the QTKit and trying to create movies with different
frames per second but I can't figure out how QTTime works.

I've done thorough research on this but I still don't know how the
timeValue and timeScale affect each other or… anything. In other
words, how does a QTTime structure represent a time?

I found kCVSMPTETimeType25 which represents the standard PAL fps, 25,
for CoreVideo. The only problem is I don't know how to convert that to
a QTTime to pass to QTKit.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Peace, Alan

P.S. I posted this here instead of on the quicktime-api list because
QTTime is part of the QTKit which is cocoa specific where as the
quicktime-api list is not. If I should have posted this on the
quicktime-api list anyhow, slap me, but not hard.
