You really need to explain (in some detail) what you're trying to
do if you want useful advice. As several other have been hinting,
it seems like you're headed down the wrong path...
For example, are you trying to filter out certain keys? Are you
trying to implement hotkeys? Are you logging keypresses? What?
I am just trying to mimic a simple WM_KEYDOWN Windows msg but it
looks not so simple for Cocoa...
In fact I will let the final user do what he wants with such msg
