Did you change the Info.plist or InfoPlist.strings files? The
application name comes from one of those two; I think it's the
CFBundleName key.
The application name is correct in Info.plist. My question was why
no menu title is displayed for the application menu, but then the
appliction menu's expected title is showing up attached to a
different menu.
I ended up re-creating the nib file from scratch and now the menu
titles are displayed correctly. I guess there was some sort of
corruption in the nib.
