Alternatively, I can recommend the Spiderworks book "Learn C on the Macintosh" by Dave Mark. It's an E-Book you can buy online, and an earlier edition of it was what I very successfully learned C with. It's been around since the System 7 days, but has been updated for Mac OS X, so it's definitely been proofread thoroughly.
