Your user may not wish to launch the application immediately upon
quitting the installer. Additionally, if the user decides to restart
for some reason--say, he or she is performing a batch of updates and
installs at once, as users like to do sometimes--your auto-launch
will cancel the restart operation. That's a bit annoying.
I'd recommend not bothering at all.
