Deleting data from NSMutableData

Howdy, I'm trying to figure out an effective means of removing X number of bytes from an NSMutableData. Basically, I iterate through an NSMutableData and systematically trim pieces out as they are handled.

There doesn't appear to be any simple means of doing so, I'm just hoping I can avoid creating a new NSMutableData from the unprocessed binary data in the object after processing ("trimming") the subset of the contents.
