Anyone know how to use a DVD -- being played using the DVDPlayback
framework -- as an input source to the Core Video API?

The Core Video documentation doesn't mention DVDs specifically, but it
does say the following 2 things:

"you can use any video source that can provide frame buffers"

I don't believe DVDPlayback will provide you with frame buffers - in fact, it tries very hard to stop you grabbing the frames from memory (for copy protection reasons).
