Hasn't worked for me either.

I'm trying to use IB3 to create some transition effects for a tab
view. I was under the impression that this could be done just from
IB. Here's a step by step of what I tried.
1. Added TabView to a Window.
2. Inserted labels into each of the two tabs so that I could tell
the difference between them.
3. Setup fade-in and fade-out on each of the individual tab views
in the transitions section of the effects palette.
4. Ran in both Cocoa Simulator and as a stand alone app. I
couldn't see any transition effects anywhere.
Here are the things I tried
1. Set the tab view and the super view as a layer backed view.
2. Setup every transition I could think of for the super view, the
tab view, it's sub-views etc. I didn't notice any transitions when
I went to run the app.
3. I fiddled with the settings for transition effects (image
settings, duration, etc.). Nothing seemed to work.
4. forgetting the tab view for a second I tried to add a view to
the window programmatically using addSubview (this was with a
subview transition set in Interface Builder). The subview just
popped in with no transition whatsoever.
Has anyone else tried to set up transitions in Interface Builder
3? Has anyone else gotten this to work? I don't seem to have any
troubles doing this in code, just in Interface Builder.
Thanks,
Robert
