rendering of NSTextFieldCell of NSOutlineView

  • Subject: rendering of NSTextFieldCell of NSOutlineView

Hi,

I was just wondering whether or not there is any way to set the background of NSTextFieldCell of NSOutlineView to white with using IB3.

I've tried setting it to white with IB3 but the cells were rendered something like thin square button controls. When I clicked on an item in the outline view, the name of the item was rendered in white with small pixels of shadow. The behavior is like square button's.

I'v also tried setting the background of scroll view or outline view, but the cells were still like thin square buttons.

I think my setting must be wrong in IB3. Would you tell me how to set the background to white?

FYI, I don't use setSelectionHighlightStyle: because it's for 10.5.

Environment:
 Xcode 3.
 IB 3
The app is for 10.4 and later.

Thanks,
norio ota
