Ways to store data in cocoa

  • Subject: Ways to store data in cocoa

I have a MySQL/PHP site that I wrote to store data about my comic book collection. I'm thinking about implementing this same program in Cocoa. However I would like to distribute this program as a standalone application. I don't want someone to have to download MySQL, run an SQL statement to generate all the correct tables and then create a data source to connect to the database. I'm not sure how ODBC works on OS X. I'm not concerned about that though as I want to implement this program without a database.

So I'm thinking of creating a data structure that will mimic the database tables but save the data as plain text. Where should I begin to look to find out about storing data with Cocoa?

Thanks for any input you may give,

Liam
