tableView cell tracking without selection

  • Subject: tableView cell tracking without selection

I have a tableView with 2 columns. The first column is a normal text column and the second column has an NSButtonCell as its dataCell. I want to be able to track the buttonCell without the tableView actually changing row selection on me. Seems like the tableView changes the selection before starting to track whatever cell is under the mouse. Is there any way to prevent this selection?

thanks

AC
