Synchronous modal sheet

I want to display a modal sheet, but my code isn't currently at the point where I can split it up. Is there a way to run a modal sheet synchronously, so the rest of the code after it starts isn't called until it ends? Or do I have no choice but to restructure this? _______________________________________________
