I'm fairly new to Cocoa and was wondering if there are OS functions
to Copy and Clear/Fill Memory available?

I've tried searching for obvious names like MemoryZero, ZeroMemory,
CopyMemory etc. but can't seem to find anything.

If you want to fill an existing buffer with a specific byte value, memset() is your friend. If you want to allocate a new buffer cleared to 00, calloc().
