I believe this is expected behavior.
if you can check troy's talk that accompanied the demo (2007 wwdc) he
might comment on it there.

You can see this by placing with the CocoaSlides demo; Find the
location where a view *will* be after animating, start the animation
and immediately click. You'll get a mouseDown event (and see the
pointillize effect) for the view before it's under the mouse.
Seems like a bug to me. Am I wrong?
