Leopard UDIF resources in XML
Leopard UDIF resources in XML

I have long been frustrated with the need to resort to obscure Carbon
APIs in order to add the various metadata to disk images that I want
to distribute (e.g. for click-though license and the like). It
appears that 'hdiutil' in Leopard has acquired a new verb, udifrez,
which seems to be designed to make it easier to add resources to your
disk image. It claims that the resource can come either in the form
os an old-fashioned resource fork or a fancy, newfangled XML file.
The question I have is this: Is there any documentation for the new
XML format for UDIF resources or are we just moving from one poorly
documented and arcane format to another one?
Cheers,
Nicko
