Collapseable interfaces like "Save as" dialog in Safari

Hi all,
I am trying to create a similar interface to the "Save as" dialog of
say Safari. My application needs to do that to present a mini view of
some data and then give the user the option of viewing an expanded
version of the same thing.
Can anyone please point me to any tutorials/code examples for the same?
