I certainly had no intention of being rude, and I'm sorry what I wrote
could be interpreted that way.
I was surprised at your statement, "Further I don't understand when
the singletone holder point shall be assigned." Only a few lines down
from the code you quoted is assignment with the comment, "//
assignment and return on first allocation".
I agree that it's not obvious that +alloc itself calls
+allocWithZone:, for reasons which are largely historical and obsolete.
