It seem that changing Level of Debug Symbols from All to Default, and/ or turning off Fix & Continue, fixed this issue.

When I opened my iPhoto plugin project in Xcode 3, it asked me for a new base directory. I chose the directory my project is in.

Now, when I build a development version (there is an alias for the plugin folder which points into iPhoto), and debug, all symbols say "unknown type" when I pass my cursor over them.

Any idea what is confusing the debugger? How should I be building this plugin for debugging with iPhoto?
