I think a workaround is to use the 10.0 compatibility mode, as illustrated in the book...

(Embarrassed) Thanks again. I had assumed the difference between the Xcode display I was using (10.4+) and the figure in the book was due to a change between the time the book was set and 3.1 was officially released. I didn't realize it was actually a workaround.
