Are you familiar with the "Multi-Threading with Core Data" <http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/CoreData/Articles/cdMultiThreading.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40003385 > section of the Core Data Programming Guide?

In other sections, the guide also covers handling undo. If you have read it, you may want to do so again, as it has your answer.
