I doubt that REALBasic's colours are objects. The advantage of a
colour object is that it encapsulates the colour space and
calibration, which for print professionals is an enormous advantage
that easily outweighs any slight difficulty of use. Personally, I find
NSColors extremely easy to use once you're used to them - and for your
case of defining a bunch of colour constants, once you've done it it's
done. It's not like you'll have to reinvent this code every time.
