According to <http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/BPRuntimeConfig/Articles/PListKeys.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/20001431-109268
> LSBackgroundOnly apps are "not intended to be visible to users",
and later it suggests that you use LSUIElement if your app has a UI.
Thanks a lot for the pointer. It made me experiment again with the
flags in my setting (a running Powerpoint presentation underneath my
app).
For the record:
according to my experiments, in my case LSBackgroundOnly must be on,
AND LSUIElement must be off.
Otherwise, Powerpoint would quit presentation mode as soon as I click
on a UI element of my background-only app.
(The whole purpose of my app is the be an overlay over a running
Powerpoint presentation.)
Best regards,
Gabriel.
