Diacritics in Thai

  • Subject: Diacritics in Thai

When I use rangeOfString: options with	NSDiacriticInsensitiveSearch not only the tone marks are ignored, but also some vowels.

Same problem with NSPredicate "someKey =[d] someValue".

It is true that in unicode-speak both the tone marks and the ignored vowels are categorized as Nonspacing_Mark.

So: is this a bug (eventually to be fixed) or a feature, which all users of the Thai language have to find some workaround themselves?

Kind regards,

Gerriet.
