Removing the dragging image

I have a view that when dragged over displays a preview of where the dragged
item is going to end up.  The problem is, the dragging image gets drawn on
top of this.  Is it possible for the dragging destination to request that
the dragging image is not drawn while something is dragged over the top of
it?
