There is no work around for this issue short of disabling layer- backing. The basic problem is that a CATiledLayer throws away all of its content when it is resized, and the NSTableView is using a CATiledLayer for its display. Because of this, the entire table gets re-rendered, and because the resize is live, re-rendered again and again before the content is complete. -- David Duncan Apple DTS Animation and Printing
