interpretKeyEvents not handling HOME and END keys?

I found this old thread:

which discusses the same problem I am currently experiencing.

As near as I can tell, interpretKeyEvents: does not call any method to handle these key presses.

Has something changed that I am unaware of or should I just go off and file what I am sure is a duplicate bug report?
