am only an hobbyist musician and doing hobbyist stuff with CoreAudio,
for instance
you have to learn to use AU Lab or create your testing View-tool, + do
you use AUGraph? , + sure it depends on what kind of sound/music...
with QT, if the final pitch is too high or low, it will be
auto-regulate (don't burn everything:)) and you may obtain some
unwanted results, anyway I recommend you to subscribe to the
core-audio mailing list.
