View Handling

I have two views that need to occupy the same space and have their visibility toggled via an action.

I first overlaid one on the other setting it hidden, all done in IB.

Then in code set one hidden the other visible at which time it dawned on me that one view was contained in the other and that hiding the containing view hide both.

So my question. "What is the 'proper' means of handling this situation?"

I could guess:

1. Remove View 1 from window content view
2. Add View 2 to window content view
3. Position View 2.


But this seems awkward.

Suggestions please.
