I'm not positive but I think SilverFast also operates this way. I know that
the people that started the product were originally on the LinoColor team
(there are some similarities in both products like the "color assistants").
Hopefully someone from Lasersoft will confirm or deny.

I think these people have heard this from many of us to the degree they may
have stopped. I'm looking forward to seeing NewColor on the Mac OS. I
understand they've done some stuff we will all wanted, like the ability to
save out tagged, high bit RGB.
