What happens if one changes gamma setting?
Your image will be brighter or darker according to whether you increase or
decrease the gamma gradation value.

Is calibration data readjusted?
NO!
Set the gamma value to 2, prescan the target slide and crop according to
instructions, activate IT8 calibration and carry out the calibration. The
calibration is based upon the values obtained during the prescan and if you
subsequently change the gamma the calibration values will no longer be valid
- do NOT alter the gamma value after you have carried out the IT 8
calibration process.
