Must be the software you use. I've tested a beta extended target for PMP
(900 patches) and don't see an issue here with gray balance compared to the
288 target. The issues are not how many patches but how effective a certain
package is at producing good neutrals.
Be aware that there are settings in PMP Pro (Paper Gray Axis verses Preserve
Gray Axis) that has a PROFOUND effect on neutrals. If you are not using the
right setting for an intended type of printer, you'll not get the beautiful
neutrals I got the other day. I guess you could say these controls in PMP
are a feature you don't find in other packages...
What "non linear" devices are we talking about here?
