Two is to use a true 4 color rip such as Best Designer Edition for Mac.
Has PressReady completely fallen out of favor? I still use it all the
time for the older printers it supported, including the 3000 mentioned
here. Using it for press proofing as it was intended, and also using it
as a straight RIP for fine art printing seems to still be working
extraordinarily well. Great dithering, and it's been very stable for
quite some time now on OS 9.1.
Considering it's price compared to the alternatives, it seems like a
slam dunk. Those who do much more press proofing than I would know much
better if it really fills that bill for critical work.
One of the most useful apps for Epsons I have, maybe not a new sexy
beast though.
