I've still got so much "unwanted" learning to do. Thanks Darrin for
straightening me out on this.
One of the responses said to calibrate the gamma to the same level. This is
true, and maybe as time goes on most people are calibrating closer to a
native gamma of 2.2 or so. Therefore the Mac and Windows should be similar
in appearance.
Most PC boxes that I looked at recently ship with video cards that accept
luts. Years ago there were few, certain Matrox used them yet others no. Now
most cards are ATi or Nvidia which accept luts.
