Thanks very much for your reply.
Just to make sure I've "got it", is this to say that dual-headed graphics
cards under OSX will properly handle calibration and profiles for two
displays? Or do some graphics cards do better than others in some way?
And does this also mean that, without two separate graphics cards under
Windows, only a single display can be calibrated & profiled?

Well, that's good since I'm most concerned about Photoshop - but not
exclusively so. For instance, I sometimes use Photoshop on my 23" display,
and watch video with El Gato's EyeTV on the 19" :-) I doubt that EyeTV is
color managed at all.
Since my "day job" for many years has been software engineering, I'm very
interested in learning more about the nuts and bolts - what information is
managed by the OS, the CMM, and the graphics card? And how do Windows and
OSX differ in this regard.
